It’s a major concern. What if you never handled a company before? It is not as obvious as you assume. Own-account workers and advisors might say they don’t, or never have, run a company. Others have jobs and work long hours running a side business that is not a legitimate business, and there are many people who have never done something like this before.
Sounded hard for a business to run? Maybe it is. Is it horrifying? It certainly is. Well, at least for the first time. Yet, if you have never run a business before, what does it bring you? But if you make your own profits now, nothing is keeping you from being a true company in your mind.
That’s not the way businesses operate. It’s difficult because there are so many textbooks, forums, courses, and tools on running a company out there, it might sound a little daunting. Will you intend to just know all that’s out there? No, not for sure.
Some stuff will stick, and some stuff will go past you. Do not worry about it. Keep up with your true dreams and expand what will work for you. Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as a commercial company, don’t worry about the labels that come along. Focus on customer service, building an audience, focus on the results you need to be satisfied with.
Consider it like this: this is a process which will make you money and it is more time consuming. Who cares whether it is an organisation or not? Just focus on that you are doing your own business.
Whatever we learn and discover along the way will make you a better manager. Financial management and promotional activities will make you clearer. You won’t even notice that you’re carrying on a business. It’s going to be all built to make things simpler through this ongoing learning process of running a new business.
